During the event, Dr. Osama Ahmed Al-Mustafa, CEO of US Meta Arees International University, delivered a speech representing the university and its partners—Zaad Pro Media, UCMAS Digital Solutions, and the Future Shaping Institute—emphasizing the importance of building educational and technological partnerships that contribute to preparing a new generation equipped with the tools of the future and capable of keeping pace with rapid digital transformations. In his speech, Dr. Osama Al-Mustafa highlighted the importance of Metaverse technologies and their role in creating a qualitative shift in the educational process. He explained that the Metaverse is no longer just a modern technological concept, but has become a comprehensive educational environment that enables students to interact directly within virtual spaces that simulate reality, thereby enhancing understanding, creativity, and exploration. He also pointed out the current direction toward developing specialized educational curricula in Metaverse and extended reality technologies, targeting primary and middle school levels. These initiatives aim to strengthen students’ creative thinking and digital interaction skills and prepare them for a future increasingly driven by artificial intelligence and advanced technologies. Speakers at the ceremony emphasized that integrating Metaverse concepts into school curricula in the coming years will represent a strategic step toward advancing education in the Kingdom, in alignment with Saudi Vision objectives to support innovation, digital transformation, and the development of a knowledge-based economy. The ceremony concluded with an emphasis on the importance of continued collaboration between educational institutions, technology companies, and specialized academies to build a modern educational model that integrates knowledge and technology.

In collaboration and consultation with the Iraqi Family Advisory Council, affiliated with the Arab Organization for Family and Social Development, US Meta Arees International University participated as the academic sponsor of the initiative to qualify and train 1,000 young men and women in marital life management—considered the largest and most significant initiative at both the Arab and international levels. The trainees were honored during a distinguished graduation ceremony held at the Canadian University in Dubai, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Dr. Hind bint Abdulaziz Al Qasimi, and attended by prominent academic, training, developmental, and media figures and institutions. At the opening of the ceremony, Dr. Monkez Al-Akkad, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of US Meta Arees International University, expressed the university’s pride and honor in sponsoring this important international event. He emphasized that the significance of the initiative is further enhanced by being hosted in the United Arab Emirates, which has designated 2026 as the “Year of the Family.” In his speech, he highlighted that the family will always remain the most important foundation for human development and the cornerstone of human civilization. US Meta Arees International University, based in Washington, D.C., has successfully secured copyright and intellectual property protection for the professional master’s thesis of researcher Asjad Jamal Hassan Ahmed through the International Copyright Office of the U.S. Library of Congress – Interactive Rights Division. This protection covers her research titled: “Strategic Foresight: A New Way to Perceive Life”, which was submitted in fulfillment of the requirements for obtaining a Professional Master’s degree from the College of Business Administration at the University. The research aims to enhance the innate human capacity for foresight, emphasizing that humans possess a frontal lobe that enables them to imagine events that have not yet occurred. Therefore, instead of avoiding uncertainty, individuals and organizations can anticipate future developments and seize significant opportunities over the next two to twenty years. Strategic foresight is presented as a cognitive discipline adopted by the most determined, successful, and visionary leaders worldwide. The research provides a practical guide to the process of strategic foresight, suitable for both individuals and organizations globally. It also highlights key historical paradigms and their evolution across different eras, while showcasing patterns of current and emerging global trends across three interconnected horizons.

The Washington Post published a photo featuring Dr. Osama Al-Mustafa alongside international AI expert Alicia Lyttle, whose team released a series of individual portraits of workshop participants during the SHIFT USA Conference held in the Greater Washington area, Maryland. Dr. Osama Al-Mustafa was officially invited, representing US Meta Arees International University, to participate in the upcoming Global Forum on Emerging Technologies, scheduled for April 2026 in the United States. He joins a distinguished group of policymakers, experts, and technologists to discuss emerging AI technologies, workforce transformation, and global innovation strategies.

As part of academic engagements hosted in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, Dr. Osama Ahmed Elmustafa, Member of the Board of Directors of US Meta Arees International University, participated in a high-level scholarly meeting that brought together distinguished academics from University of Nairobi and several universities across Africa. The meeting was attended by Professor Muaz Ahmed Tango, a prominent scholar of public international law and a recognized authority in international boundary law and dispute resolution. The meeting was convened to strengthen cross-border academic partnerships and explore avenues for collaboration in international law, governance, and strategic studies. Professor Tango’s presence added significant intellectual value, reflecting his standing as a leading academic authority and a practitioner with deep institutional experience within state structures. Professor Tango holds a Ph.D. in International Law from University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. Throughout his career, he has dedicated his work to issues of national sovereignty and boundary delimitation, developing institutional and strategic frameworks for managing and resolving boundary disputes in accordance with international law and globally recognized standards. He previously served as Chairman of the National Borders Commission, where he led comprehensive institutional restructuring efforts and introduced professional methodologies to address sensitive boundary matters with legal rigor and strategic foresight. He has also held senior leadership positions within the Ministry of Justice, contributing to the development of legal frameworks governing treaties and international obligations. In addition, Professor Tango is a distinguished expert in international human rights law, having contributed to numerous reports submitted to regional and international mechanisms, thereby strengthening institutional legal engagement at both regional and global levels. He is the author of several scholarly publications and the founder and Editor-in-Chief of a specialized academic journal in human rights. During the meeting, Professor Tango expressed his honor and enthusiasm in joining the University’s Board of Trustees, emphasizing the importance of building independent academic institutions capable of preparing legal and intellectual leaders equipped to address the complex challenges of modern statehood—particularly in matters of sovereignty, boundary delimitation, and international arbitration. This visit comes in the context of a strategic vision that aims to build bridges of scientific and knowledge cooperation between international educational institutions and African universities, and activate the role of higher education as a tool for development, empowerment and leadership building, in a way that consolidates an academic presence across continents. The meeting was characterized by a deep scientific nature and rich discussions that addressed the future of higher education in Africa, and ways to develop academic models in line with the rapid global transformations, especially in the fields of technology, innovation, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. He also sent an official letter to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Monkez Akkad, and to the university administration, expressing his pride in this cooperation, describing the partnership as “a model of integration between international expertise and African need”, and stressing his full commitment to transforming this cooperation into realistic projects with a sustainable impact. Dr. Monkez Al-Akkad, President of US Meta Arees International University, delivered the University’s keynote address in its capacity as a strategic partner alongside the organizing entities, Ghabsha Foundation and Basmah Institute for Training and Education, during the first edition of the GCC Forum for Inspiring Teachers, held in Dubai. The forum was organized under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Dr. Aisha bint Saeed Al Sharqi, chaired by Dr. Khaled Al-Dhanhani, and attended by prominent Emirati, Gulf, and Arab educational leaders and officials. In his speech, Dr. Monkez emphasized education as the most powerful driver of transformation in humanity, highlighting that teachers shape and build the most valuable element in existence—the human being—who will, in the future, have access to diverse opportunities, positions, and leadership roles. He explained that since its establishment, US Meta Arees International University has adopted Bloom’s Taxonomy as a guiding educational framework to connect learning with understanding, application, and innovation. The University has also embraced Montessori methodologies, which promote self-directed learning, respect individual differences among students, and create a dynamic educational environment that nurtures talented and high-achieving learners. This approach is supported through the University’s cooperation and membership with the Montessori Curriculum Office in Washington, operating under U.S. Department of Education family policy compliance standards. Dr. Afra bint Hasher Al Maktoum, Member of the Board of Trustees of US Meta Arees International University and Regional President of the American Academic Board for Training and Education, presented a working paper on mental health at the Third Global Conference on Rural Health held in Hafar Al-Batin, Saudi Arabia. Her participation took place during the fifth session of the conference, which was broadly titled: Solutions – Training, Innovation, and Technology (REEFATHON). The working paper addressed several key themes, emphasizing that women’s health is a comprehensive societal and developmental issue that affects family stability, quality of life, and the future of sustainable development across the Gulf region. Dr. Afra called for the integration of health education for girls across all stages of education, with a particular focus on adolescence, delivered through scientifically sound approaches that preserve privacy and promote psychological well-being. She stressed that health education represents a long-term investment in sustainable development due to its positive impact on family stability. Additionally, Dr. Afra highlighted the importance of establishing clear frameworks for the use of digital health as a supportive tool for health awareness rather than a substitute for it. She noted that the effectiveness of health technologies and platforms should be measured by their ability to enhance health awareness, respect cultural privacy, and ensure accessibility. She further emphasized the need to redefine health innovation—including technological initiatives and reefathons—so that it remains centered on people and their real needs. Dr. Afra concluded by underscoring the necessity of adopting an integrated Gulf vision for women’s health that begins at the school level, is supported by the family, reinforced by responsible media, and leverages technology in alignment with cultural values and privacy. She also called for strengthened partnerships among the health, education, media, and technology sectors to ensure coordinated efforts and avoid fragmented responsibility for women’s health, affirming that women’s health is a collective responsibility requiring long-term policies and sustainable programs that extend beyond seasonal campaigns.
