Dr. Ian Champbell brings over 30 years of rich academic and professional experience, establishing himself as one of the leading figures in governmental relations, international policy, economic development, and entrepreneurship.
He currently serves as the Dean of the College of Business Administration at US Meta Arees International University, where he is steering the college toward global excellence through the development of high-quality academic programs that align with global economic shifts and digital transformation trends.

Originally from Manchester, Jamaica, Dr. Champbell demonstrated academic brilliance and community leadership from an early age, earning the prestigious “MAC” Scholarship and the “Order of the Oak for Leadership” in recognition of his public service and commitment to community development.
He pursued advanced studies in the United States, specializing in political and economic administration and international relations.
Throughout his career, Dr. Champbell held prominent roles in major governmental and political institutions, most notably as a Senior Advisor in the U.S. Congress. He served as Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to the Foreign Relations Committee, and led multiple legislative and trade missions to over 20 countries. His work contributed significantly to shaping economic and trade policies between the U.S. and countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
Alongside his political background, Dr. Champbell is also an accomplished entrepreneur. He founded and managed several successful businesses in the fields of media, technology, and global commerce. Among his notable achievements:
- Founder of PIC TV, one of the earliest media platforms dedicated to community-based broadcasting for minority voices in the United States.
- Founder of Manchester Global Solutions, an international business consultancy that connects entrepreneurs worldwide with opportunities for expansion and growth in global markets.
- Leader of the “Black Women Doing Business Globally” initiative, supporting and empowering African-descent women in global entrepreneurship and trade.
Dr. Champbell has received numerous honors and awards, including:
- “Who’s Who in America 2024” Award, for outstanding leadership and community service.
- The U.S. Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for volunteer service.
- Recognition as one of the “Top 100 Most Influential Caribbean Americans in the United States.”
At US Meta Arees International University, Dr. Champbell leads the College of Business Administration with a strong vision focused on academic innovation, real-world integration, and leadership development. He oversees the design and implementation of advanced curricula in management, entrepreneurship, marketing, leadership, and project management—blending practical applications with theoretical foundations.
He is also building strategic international partnerships with academic institutions and global companies to provide students with internship, training, and career opportunities, bridging the gap between education and the global job market.
Dr. Champbell’s academic vision centers on developing students’ leadership and analytical skills while equipping them with a strategic mindset to successfully lead their future organizations in a rapidly evolving, technology-driven world.
